The Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) website, www.fedcivilservice.gov.ng, has suddenly gone down. The downtime started six hours after the commission announced the commencement of massive recruitment for 2017/2018 into some ministries and agencies.
A visit to the website, www.fedcivilservice.gov.ng, as at the time this article was posted shows the following error message – ‘Error establishing a database connection’.
This error message has been there for hours prior to this time.
The recruitment exercise which is to last for a period of six weeks offers a full time job and it is open to all OND, HND or BA/BSc certificate holders in all 36 states and FCT.
Interested Nigerians with required qualifications were directed to apply online for free.
The ministries and agencies where placements are needed are Federal Ministry of Information; Federal Ministry of Environment; Federal Ministry of Justice; Federal Ministry of Trade and Investments; and Bureau of Public Procurement.
For the sake of millions of Nigerians seeking employment, we hope that the website will be up again and running effectively soon.
