Positions and Vacancies

*CATEGORY A: Superintendent Cadre

• Superintendent of Corps (SC) Medical Doctors, CONMESS 02
• Superintendent of Corps (SC) Dentist CONMESS 02
• Superintendent of Corps (SC) Optometrists CONMESS 02

Applicants must be holders of M.B.B.S; M.D; M.D.S; or equivalent from recognized universities.

*CATEGORY B: Inspectorate Cadre

Inspector of Corps (IC) Nursing CONHESS 07.

Applicants must be registered Nurses (RN), Registered Midwives (RM) or   Registered Nurses/Midwives (RNM) obtained from recognized institutions.

Assistant Inspector of Corps (AIC) CONPASS 06.

Applicants must be holders of Diploma in Community Health, Medical Records, Pharmacy, Food and Nutrition, Health Education, Health Information Management, Laboratory, Environmental Technician and other Health/Medical related fields.

*CATEGORY C: Assistant (CAII) CONPASS 04

Applicants must be holders of Certificate in Community Health, Medical Records, Pharmacy, Food and Nutrition, Health Education, Health Information Management, Laboratory, Environmental Technician and other Health/Medical related fields.

*GENERAL DUTY*

*CATEGORY A: Superintendent Cadre

Assistant Superintendent of Corps II (ASCII) CONPASS 08 – Applicants must be holders of first degree from recognized Universities in the following areas:Humanities, Social Science, Psychology, Estate/ Town Planning, Public Health, Food Sciences, Social Works, Security, Criminology and Operational Research etc.

*CATEGORY B: Inspectorate Cadre

i Senior Inspector of Corps (SIC), CONPASS 08 – Applicants must be holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) Certificates obtained from recognized institutions.

ii Inspector of Corps (IC) – Applicants must be holders of NCE or its equivalent in any field from recognized institutions or holders of Registered Nurses (RN), Registered Nurses/Midwives (RNM) obtained from recognized institutions.

iii Assistant Inspector of Corps (AIC) – Applicants must be holders of National Diploma (ND) obtained from recognized Polytechnics/institutions, or holders of certificates in Community Health, Pharmacy and Health Education.

*CATEGORY C: Assistant Cadre

i Corps Assistant (CAII) CONPASS O4 – GCE Ordinary level, SSCE/NECO or their equivalents with minimum of five (5) credits in not more than two (2) sittings, which should include at least English and Mathematics.

ii Corps Assistant (CAIII) CONPASS 03 – Applicants must be holders of GCE ordinary level, SSCE/NECO or their equivalents with a minimum of three credits in not more than two (2) sittings, which include at least English or Mathematics or Trade Test Grade III. (Artisans, Motor Driver, Mechanics, Auto Electricians, Plumbers, Carpenters, Masons, etc.)

*DRIVERS/MECHANICS*

“Assistant Cadre: Corps Assistant (CAII) CONPASS 04 – Applicants must be holders of Trade Test Grade II. (Motor Drivers, Mechanics, Auto Electricians, etc.)

Corps Assistant (CAIII) CONPASS 03 – Applicants must be holders of Trade Test Grade III. (Motor Drivers, Mechanics, Auto Electrician, etc.)

Note: National Driver’s License is required for all prospective drivers.

*ARTISANS*

Assistant Cadre: Corps Assistant (CAII) CONPASS 04 – Applicants must be holders of Trade Test Grade II. (Artisans, Plumbers, Carpenters, Masons, etc.)

Corps Assistant (CAIII) CONPASS 03 – Applicants must be holders of Trade Test Grade III. (Artisans, Plumbers, Carpenters, Masons, etc.)

All graduate regardless of their course of study can apply as long as they meet the age requirements.

How to Apply for NSCDC Recruitment

1. Visit official NSCDC recruitment Portal at www.cdfipb.careers . Review the available Job positions as shown above to see if you meet the requirements for a given position.
2. Click on Start your application button to commence your application. You will be required to register using a valid email and a password of your choices.
3. On successful registration, a confirmation message will be sent to the email you provided. CHECK YOUR SPAM MESSAGES IF YOU CAN’T FIND IT WITHIN YOUR INBOX. Click on the link provided to continue your application.
4. After successful confirmation, log in with the combination of your email and password.
5.  You are required to complete the biodata (personal information) section first. Without completing this section, you cannot proceed with your application.
6.  Please complete all the provided sections with accurate information. Ensure you print out your acknowledgement slip at the end of your application

If you finished filling everything. Don’t click the final submission button. Just leave it till next week in case the site is updated for uploading of documents and inputting of NYSC certificate number. If after next week the portal is not updated then you can now click the final submission.

NSCDC guarantor form

Officially, the guarantor form is not yet out for download, so just leave that. Please, make sure you read all the requirements before you start applying.

Frequently Asked Question on NSCDC Recruitment 2019

Let me try to answers some questions applicants are asking here and also follow the step for those that wants to apply themselves.

1. Email Link Confirmation

If you want to register or have registered and you are yet to see the link in your email, do not register again. Just click resend email confirmation, wait a little bit, it will come into your inbox or spam. Pls use Gmail, it is faster.

2. Passport Uploading

The passport you are uploading must not exceed 10kb in size, so if you are snapping with your camera, is possible you see over 1MB, so reduce/compress the size by going to www.jpeg-optimizer.com, change the ‘compress picture to 40, then upload the passport. It will compress it.

3. Printing of Acknowledgement Slip

For now, there is error in printing out your slip especially when using chrome browser on phone. It is still printable using PC but you may not see your passport. So the best, is leave it for now, you can print it later since you are done with the application.

4. Guarantor Form Issues

Those asking for guarantor form. The web was used for Fire service recruitment last year because they are all under same agency that is why those that download the guarantor form are seeing fire service on it.

Officially, the guarantor form is not yet out, so just leave that. The recruitment is 4weeks, it will be updated before the closing.

5. Can you use phone to apply?

Yes, the web is phone friendly. Once you get all the info on your phone, use chrome, phonix or chrome browser, is all working perfectly for it.
