Carmudi Nigeria (www.carmudi.com.ng ) turns into Jumia Car Nigeria

The popular site for NEW AND USED CARS FOR SALE IN NIGERIA has been acquired.

The popular Nigerian Car classifieds; Carmudi Nigeria (www.carmudi.com.ng) has been acquired by Jumia. The online car portal offers users new; used (Tokunbo) and Nigerian used cars for every taste.

Jumia car Nigeria

Carmudi Nigeria is the subsidiary of the World’s fastest growing car classifieds, Carmudi.com. Carmudi is online car classifieds site that focuses on emerging markets. The portal was launched in 2013 and is a part of Rocket Internet. The online car portal achieves its popularity by aggressive Advertisement.

While I’m still welcoming the rebranding of Carmido to Carmudi Nigeria which unifies the Carmudi brand across all countries; Jumia Nigeria quickly acquire Carmudi Nigeria.

There was no speculation of any kind. If you could recall, a similar thing happened last time, OXL Nigeria acquires Tradestable Nigeria. I did mention it then that more companies and businesses in country will merged or acquired by one company before the end this year. So Carmudi Nigeria has joined the queue. Car Jumia Nigeria now says; ‘Nigerians have been driving around cities and regions like Lagos, Abuja, Benin City, Shagamu, Ibadan and Port Harcourt in search of the right car to suit their budget and needs. However, now with Jumia Car Nigeria, users can sit in the convenience of their homes or offices and search through thousands of new and used (Tokunbo) vehicles on offer. Nigerians are now no longer restricted to purchasing vehicles from local dealerships as we have taken the time to attract a large amount of independent car dealers and individual car sellers to our site. We verify all of our dealers and sellers in a bid to build a secure and trustworthy site, which is something that has lacked between buyers and sellers in the country’.

If actually jumia bought Carmudi Nigeria and never Franchise, this will likely give Jumia edge over her top competitor like Konga.

What is your stake on this? Let’s hear from you. Say your mind. Do you think that the acquisition of Carmudi Nigeria by Jumia will be beneficial to users as well as to the company?
