All you need is to think of a problem that needs a solution to, find a solution that problem.
2. Start with a good small business idea
As a student, any business idea will serve but it should be meet these below criteria;
• Something you have passion for
• Something you have knowledge on how to do.
• Something you will like to do and wouldn’t mind doing it each day.
• Something that is appealing to other students.
• Something you know how to raise sufficient funds to get started and keep it running until the business start to pay off in spades.
• It should be a business idea that you can earn profit on.
3. Invest capital into the business once
If you put in $200 to start the business or whatever you spend for starting the business, don’t put any more money into the business. Wait and test to see if you are making any progress. So, once you start, the business should generate enough for you to reinvest into it and then pay off in spades. If you discover that your figures are going down the ladder, adjust immediately.
4. Manage your time properly
Remember that you can acquire experience from the small business you are doing at your school but that is not the main reason you are there. You are in the school to get good and quality education. So, endeavour to develop discipline and manage you time wisely. Attend classes when you are supposed and never miss lectures because of business as this may affect your academic performance.
5. Share ideas with serious minded entrepreneurs
You have to be sensitive to every possible resource and opportunity you can access that will improve your small business. try to visit off and on-campus government business assistance resources, tap into the expertise of guru, share ideas with serious minded college entrepreneurs, study abroad to get international experience and new ideas, connect with other students from other well developed economic like China and South America.
